Música

Released June 17th, 2022

My Mind’ is an upbeat pop song that takes us on journey from a feedback loop (thought cycle) that can’t be stopped to a grounded and hopeful place where we manage to build distance from the thought and understand that this moment doesn’t define us.

Dame Todo

Released April 22nd, 2022

'Dame Todo' follows the theme of two worlds - both in music, emotion, and language.
This song's first world is filled with insecurity and sung in English. Built on soulful beats and supplemented by an R&B soundscape, it’s engaging storytelling that serves as a showcase for Juracán’s standout vocals.

''Is this everything you wanted,

Is this everything you need,

How will I ever know,

If you never speak up.''

His voice is emotive but lyrically expresses the navigation of one's needs. The second world is sung in Spanish and is about overtly asking for one's needs. It's introduced with pulsing, deep synths and from the first few seconds it’s clear that this is a world that’s built on a confidence and clarity. Descending vocal melodies play over a range of electronic sounds; in combination, the result is a surprisingly darker tone.

You Said, Lecciones

Released August 2021

‘You Said, Lecciones’ is a song about hurt, realizations, and learning. It’s about seeing someone for the first time without justifying their actions, and about pushing aside unhealthy dynamics to make space for growth.

Russian Puppet

Released October 2020

Russian Puppet is a song I wrote in 2019. At the time, my brain was filled with thoughts related to the Russia Trump affair. I was watching and reading about it, and probably because of it, this song came to me. The emotions behind this song are disgust, anger, disappointment, and anxiety, which had been accumulating since the 2016 election campaigns.

It didn’t fit in with the album I was working on (‘Jarineo’) back then, but I talked to Eric Leavell about recording it anyway. My initial idea was for it to be a quiet, intimate folk song, but Eric suggested we get some distortion going. I went with it and improvised.

Jarineo

Released July 2020

“There is no singular style that exclusively defines the music of this album; Pierre steered his ship into a staggering array of genres and lyrical topics and alluringly alchemized them into a light and airy experience. Each song brings a frisson of surprise through its ambient passages, soothing piano textures, endearing indie-folk rhythms, or sporadic mesmerizing post-rock moods.”
- New Noise Magazine

“Psychotherapy feels like a dream in which you find yourself reconnecting with parts of your brain that you may have neglected previously. “
- Independent Music News

"Jarineo will open that third eye of yours to start the healing process for yourself so you can help pass along that serenity the world is so currently desperate for. It’s an album that truly captures the spirit of fervent peacefulness."
